I am really glad when people call with a cancelation.

I get upset when the phone rings.

What do you want? Is usually my first question.

I hang up the phone real quick in that half a second grace period, before the sale person picks it up.

I refuse to book mumbles.

Under no circumstances will I book a job with anybody that does not speak English or Hebrew. Urdu is no exception.

I will not spend more than 25 minutes on the phone with people that do not speak above mentioned languages. Grunts and or dances are not accepted as a job description.

When the first question they ask is: “How much?” My response is “how much you got?”

Or could it be that I’m just too sensitive?

You just need a little break....maybe you should come to the beach on the other side of the US....and do it in April during the Experience and Mikey Fest   :very_drunk:

O.K. Willy you got me intrigued. I tried to Goog it with no success.
Translation please.

For once, what did poor Marty have to do with this?
The problem with spending time with the horses, is that if I do, my wife wants me to also clean all the poop. Though I have to admit that I and the horses seem to like the same beer.

I'm there, been there for a while. In fact, I HAVE to go out and clean a cancellation from Mo0nday (too cold and snowy). I don't even deal with price shoppers anymore.

Me too! It's like super bonus time off, unexpected...

If you are doing everything yourself, sooner or later you burn out. It's too much. Last time it happened to me, I bought a tm! Now the wife helps with the phone and booking etc... It's sooo much better AND she charges more than me!

If your feeling that way now(Jan.) imagine how bad it's going to be come busy time!

Absolutely.
Its Gefilte fish and Manishevitz on the house.

Though, there's the little issue and please don't think I am a stickler for detail, however you can only have a Bar Mitzvah, once you've had your Brith.

Are we invited to that one too?

I'll have to refer you to Marty. He handles the Briths for Mikey's board members.

Are you a supportive member?

If you are, it may be Fred :winky:

Would that be an incentive?

I know exactly how you feel Ofer... I have those days also...It must be the market we serve..
It got so stressful in October/November
I needed to escape to Thailand after being back in SF after just five weeks!!

Do u ever get those callers that repeatedly speed dial your phone number like they're calling a radio station trying to win a prize?
those callers failed our psych test so we could even call them back. Haha

Hang in there Buddy!! I Can't handle this City alone..

Yeah, I gotta agree- it;s friggin' January and I've got a week out bookings. I picked up some keys for the weekend 10,000 sf office (with 75 office chairs) when a guy called with 400sf of tile to strip and wax. The referral came from a supplier, so there goes Sunday afternoon. But, it beats the alternative.

It is so up and down right now...

Booked solid- halfway into February but was pretty slow before Christmas.
Good thing for the flood work on December 31st and the following days after that.
