Today is the day... The wife and I are about to start wrapping the new Pro 1200 van in Oracal 970ra Matte Azure Blue Metalic, This is part of our full re-name/re-branding efforts.

We will be cutting the letters out on our plotter tonight or tomorrow, and filling out divorce papers if it goes anything like wrapping the FOOKING sprinter went :dejection:

Pray to the almighty Magic Space Genie that it goes well.

Just your time and patience plus about 500 in materials.

Just buy a good material and by the time you have successfully applied to or more runs (material comes 4-5 foot wide) you will know what you got yourself into.

The 3m 1080 has little air release Channels and is easy to apply.

The trick is a mildly soapy solution. At least for vinyl lettering. I've never tried to do a wrap.

Wow, flashback! In high school (in the 70's) I worked in a body shop. Used to use diluted Joy dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle when I replaced the fake woodgrain vinyl on station wagons. Remember those?

Yeah, I tried that with this stuff when I wraped the box on the Vortex, made it worse lol
made the air release bubbles not work
I've never wrapped anything just installed letters. It works great for that. If you can pull and stretch the wrap it's probably not necessary. I never heard of air release, that's a good idea.
