15,000 sq ft of Saturnia. Just one day, but we only cleaned and sealed it. First and second floor plus stairs all saturnia. The only carpet was an insert of carpet in the master. Sweet job plus it was vacant. Saw him recently and he said it needs done again.

Mikey-- sell them concrete sealing also. If there were urine stains in concrete the old urine could be smelled by other pets and force the pet to "mark their territory" on the new carpet.

Was the concrete contaminated with something? Cleaning it before carpet seems a little extreme otherwise.

Stupid question - could "steaming" that much concrete in a home create any residual moisture issues if carpet is going down in the near future?

Its could, but it would have to be flooded for some time before the water was extracted. Concrete is porous but not so much that a quick cleaning would cause an issue.

In Las Vegas there's a growing movement to polish smooth, interior concrete to make it shiny like natural stone. They use decorative acetone dyes to put patterns down like artwork on the floor. A friend who owned a carpet business got into that and never looked back. This is a pic from one of his jobs. I hope to learn how to do this kind of work before the end of the year.
