I'm surprised that Jim is putting this on since he has been really busy selling TM's like hot cakes. Paul in the shop definitely has his hands full.

I'm planning on making this one. The girls weren't in Friday to take my reservation so I gotta remember to call Monday.

I bet it's all greasy too.

Actually it's not
Had to replace a head this summer
(Valve seat came loose)
So I pulled the unit to make working on ot easier.
While out i presure washed it

It's pretty easy to pull my unit.
Believe it or not I pull it every year or two and presure wash it and the inside of the van from the front doors back...just a plain cargo van (no headliner or wall panels and such)

I pull it up on ramps and let the water run out back

Oh yeah, that was the first major engine repair on the Kohler
It has FIVE THOUSAND hours on it.
That's the God's truth too!!
(Well..since I mentioned Him the truth is it's 4900 and something hours)

I don't know why many of you guys only get 2500-3000 hours out of em

truth be told. ..I'm really not all that anal about maintenance either
Change the oil and filter every 100 hours or so with VALVOLINE 10-40 is about it

I don't know either. It's not maintenance avoidance. I change my oil and filters at a rate that is twice as often as recommended. I think it's the heat. Put a Kohler inside a tin can right beside a #4 Little Giant and watch it bake.

I figure you're right. ..heat

I've always rear mounted my TMs
Simply because I prefer hoses out the side door as well as get a hot tm off the back of my neck.

I lose floor space with rear mount but convinced it allows for better cooling.
Mostly because stuff doesn't get stacked/piled all around it

That's my " guess " anyway

Yeah so went and took a look at my pro1200 as it currently is sitting in my van, and holy shit is it huge!!! its a lot bigger than I thought It would be. And the blower is like twice the size of my rage's. And there was enough room in the back of the van yet to lay down and take a nap. and my van isn't even an extended. cant wait to start using it.

Mine may be there and being installed that very week. I'll just leave it there and drive it home on the 23rd! Will have a 2003 Chevy Ext there with the Thermalwave for sale, complete. And some extras, to boot. Not to rain on Jimmys big day, but I will drive it to Pittsburg, unless Jimmy tells me otherwise.

Van needs body work, but otherwise, could be driven right to a job and start cleaning.

Bob,
I was there checking on my install, your van was there and looks great, our vans are nearly identical.
you get the water pond also?
when your there on the 23rd ill show you some stuff on my rage that you will want to do to your pro1200se setup. will save you tons of money in the long run and keep your machine running better longer. And does not have anything to do with the actual machine. $25 investment will save you hundreds in repairs.
