I got two nearly identical rugs that had an interesting story with them.

Anybody can tell me something about these? I want to see if it would match what the customer is telling me.

About 2.5'x4.5'

One can not always tell much about a rug from just seeing the pattern. Patterns travel. Someone see a pattern they look from locale A and soon they are making a similar pattern in locale B. Need close-up of the back, edges and ends to see how it was constructed.

The cross woven feature with fringes on the side is interesting.

Yes, thanks Scott. I should rephrase it...it's not that interesting. I guess the way they acquired the rug, was.

The owner of the rugs, was a well known Hollywood actor... They say it was woven from their own animals' wool that he and his partner had on their land... and none of it was dyed. All the colors are (supposedly) the cut off colors.

Nice story. The history always makes the rug more valuable even if the value is personal or sentimental.
