I own a Trinity CM (with onboard sprayer), and two Trinity Freedom machines. I have purchased the new model John calls "The Grumpy" after his dad. The new model sells for $5,499.00. The CM cost $4,995.00 I believe. I do not need four OP machines, so one's got to go.

Well, I have no idea what John's costs of materials and labor to build a machine, so I can't speak to that. What I can say is that my return on investment on my Trinity machines is far greater than any other piece of equipment I have ever purchased.

I still have a HOS Orbot sitting in storage I haven't used since I purchased my first Trinity. Windsor is selling these for over 4 grand now. I just recently sold my Cimex machine too.

He looks like he is really building a nice machine. I liked the Trinity but the new ones look even better. Kudo's to John!

I'd love to have one but I'm cheap. If he'd like to give me one to try out for 4-5 years I'd let him know what I think about it. :winky:

Do you want to sell your Orbot? If so how much?

maybe some of that fortune should go into making their website more professional.

good lord.

Grumpy comes available in a host of new colors to choose from. Making it easier to incorporate your company colors into your equipment.

While these colors are beautiful, remember we are not powder coating cars, they are carpet cleaning machines. There will always be small flaws in powder coating hot roll and cold roll steel.

What pads do you use with these new machines Paul?
I have not received my new Grumpy yet, but will use the same pads I use on my other Trinity's.
When cleaning commercial carpeting, I always thoroughly pre-vacuum...using a vacuum I have tested against other vacuum cleaners and that I know sucks up the most fine particulate. I have NEVER found a commercial facility that adequately vacuums their carpets on their own! Pre-vacuuming is an important step when cleaning using HWE, but it is critical when using a low moisture system.
I will make one or two passes with the Trinity using microfiber pads with scrub strips, followed by one or two passes with Glad Pads, all depending on the soil load. On frequent accounts, a single pass with Glad pads on the lightly soiled areas would be fine.
I don't do any straight encapping anymore, which is why I sold my Cimex. IMO, straight encapping might be fine IF the facility would properly and regularly vacuum their carpets,...BUT THEY DON'T! The result, IMO, is a build up of soil that is never removed, until flushed with HWE, which as you know, can be a mess.
The combination of pre-vacuuming and using both the microfiber and Glad pads to remove the majority of the soil is actually cleaning.... not appearance management.
Needless to say, I do not charge 12 cents per square foot for this process. When giving a quote, I list vacuuming separately at 4 cents per square foot, so they can compare my quote with others that do not vacuum..... but I tell them that I will NOT do the job without pre-vacuuming.
I also try my best to get the commercial folks to purchase a vacuum that I recommend, and to get them to vacuum properly and frequently.
I recently cleaned the office spaces of a local beer distributorship. We spent two hours vacuuming wall to wall. The guy told me they vacuum weekly. I told him it took us two hours to vacuum, and he told me they spend about 15 or 20 minutes, if that.

One of the selling points for ANY piece of equipment is a good looking, long lasting finish. Folks who comment on their TM, for instance, usually mention whether the finish held up.
If I were going to pay $6K for an OP machine, I think it would be reasonable to expect that it would be properly metal - finished and have an above average coating applied. I would NOT expect the manufacturer to tell me to expect flaws.....

I own three Trinity machines and the paint job and powder coating on all three were fine, and all three machines still look good, especially considering the beating they take in my usually overloaded van. If I was not EXTREMELY pleased with the quality build of these machines, I certainly would NOT be buying my fourth!

I wonder why the disclaimer than. .

Because it eats Cimex's for lunch...

Kind of like your AT, Or Vortex...

In the porn industry it would be like a 8" limp $ick... U get the idea...

Bring it to FL for MF, or one like so We can test it...

It will be fun. Kind of like a Orgy for TM's... All are invited.

My next Challenge--- 5 min... Suck on my 1 1/2" hose....

Any Takers? Video of my hose and your Damage... But not My Machine... (I have Morals...)

I don't understand the point of Carpet Guy's post or what he is saying. The Cimex is a great machine, I just prefer to use an OP machine for reasons I stated above.
So.................... any questions on the machine I am selling ?
