I need to replace my blower belts this weekend with it being a Holiday weekend.
Prochem Apex, which belt type and who makes the better belt?

Thanks

The Apex manual lists different belts depending on gas or diesel:

Gas - Bando HDPF 5480
Diesel - Bando HDPF 5500

So Lee's suggestion matches the manual (for gasoline engines).

I'd suggest downloading the manual for your machine, with ProChem it's pretty easy.

Good catch. The manual I was looking at was for the Apex GTX. The older (discontinued) Apex lists Gates Predator BP46 for gas and BP48 for diesel. Best find the manual for your machine like Lee says.

IMO- The BP belt is a much better belt than the BX belt. I buy mine from Motion Industries.

How many hours do you get on a set of belts? I have 2,500 hours on mine since I bought my Apex..

Having an APEX my manual says BX47,
I ordered 2 belts from O'Reillys. looking at another Apex manual they list different ones. Why is that?

How many bolts are holding the TriFlow blower in place?

My belts were toast after 500-800 hrs until I added the radiator fan. Heat is there enemy. If you lower the temp they last forever. my last belts had ridiculous time and I replaced them just because.

4 bolts hold it to the frame(I believe) and then the adjustment bolts.. You might also have to loosen where it attaches to the HX box. On my Peak I don't move the blower I just slip the belts over the sheave like a bike chain.
