Freaking 10 Large vans in the UK that get 30 US MPG or better.

Chevy gets 12-15 Promaster, Transit, and Sprinter get 18-22 US MPG But the Sprinter in the UK gets about 33 US MPG.

One reason might be because investment portfolios of the auto industry manufacturers are heavily invested in the oil and gas industry, and the US is very lax when it comes to regulation in comparison to most European nations, certain news reports and politician's speeches notwithstanding. European countries don't allow corporations to bully them like America does.

It's the same reason many companies refuse to increase wages for their workers, because they are heavily invested in the credit card and banking/loan industry. They'd prefer their employees borrow in order to live rather than make a living wage.

It's run-a-muck capitalism. It wasn't intended to be that way but that's what happens when the referees are compromised and marginalized or taken out of the equation.
