Sometimes and sometimes it's the other way around.. weak people ignore and forgive because they are weak.
Reputations can be made or broken with one revolution

I don't know, I'm ignoring the thread.
Seriously, yes but I think however depending on how hard we are pushed, I believe we all can be any of the three.
Personally I'm weak enough to enjoy revenge, weak enough to never forgive or forget, weak enough that I can't ignore.

I think if you were to preface each sentence with the word "some", you would have a more accurate set of statements.
I think it was possible the author of that quote was referrring to specific circumstances that may have existed for him/her at the time.
"If my answers frighten you, then you should cease asking scary questions."

I like it Tom and I tend to agree with Shawn that there were life circustances that initiated this persons thoughts. I am working on being less of the first and more of the 2nd and 3rd, so thank you for the post.

Like a lot of well-meaning sayings, it depends.
Emotional damage?
A strong person may make certain the other person can't hurt them again before forgiving, and the intelligent person avoids being put in that position again and then can ignore.
Physical or monetary damage?
They all gang up on the perpetrator and pound the snot out of them.

Mikey, another statement comes to mind when you said this.
It is the one attributed to Abraham Lincoln:
“Better to remain silent and be thought a fool then to speak out and remove all doubt.”

What's your point Tom?
You gonna brow beat Mike while you're contributing $5 a month to sell crap here?
And why do pseudo intellectuals quote others?

Fred, I was just making conversation. Mikey told me I should post around a bit. I have enjoyed my little stint here since fall. I usually hang and post over in the rug category. Please be assured that there was no cognitive intention on my part to "brow beat", the one and only, 'Master Mike', the King of his own World Famous Board. However, one thing did come to mind. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words:
