Hey, don't forget that your new SS UPH Pro is the best staircase detailer on the market.

Wand what you can then hit up the bull nose (no overspray!), risers and corners with the Invisible SS Pro.

With the invisbleness you'll know when you need to rinse the nose more

and save you back with one of these when you prevacuum..

Hahaha! Yes! And Monday is my first residential job in what seems like forever, so I will be using it and cannot wait! Actually, I have a busy week coming up!
I plan on doing both upholstery and trying it on stairs too. I've actually never considered cleaning stairs with a UPH tool....now you've peaked my curiosity!

This is awful.

For years it's been a "killin-offense" to use an UPHOLSTERY tool to do stairs, akin to using the toothbrush on the toilet.

Ugh!
I would first use my stair tool but then like Mike said go over the bullnose and edges for touch ups. I can absolutely see how this would be beneficial as the stair tool spray pattern does not reach into some areas as well as I would like and other areas it sprays too much. I feel it is definitely worth trying.

Again, I use my full size wand fos as much as I can and in many cases that's 100%, then trim out.

I hate stair wands.
That's just being lazy. Put the damn wand down and go out to the truck for the stair tool. Your shoulders will thank you for it. From one who knows

I could not imagine using my full sized wand on stairs! I'm tall but not gigantuan!
Mostly, I don't know what it would do to my back.

I just saw a pic of some thing called a hugger that wraps around the bullnose, I cannot imagine that tool being useful because not all bullnose are the same size lol.

We are not all tall enough to be effective with a wand on stairs. And you haven't seen a lot of the staircases around here in this small old town.

But I agree it flushes the step better when you can do it.

I think it's a fallacy a 12 flow wand 14 inch will out clean a 4 flow stair tool.

Both use #2 jets, the smaller head generates more lift on the carpet. If your using a 1 1/2 inch whip with a vinyl cuff you can pipe the bull nose.

I think the wand is faster but doesn't provide the detail a tool does.

If your pre treating the nose and rinsing you pull the stair tool away give it a blast and pipe the nose dry.

For the most part a good upholstery tool can be used to clean the treads bullnose and face
