Out of respect towards Mikey and mikeysboard's sales and advertisement purposes, I will get off your case Duane.
I'm happy to discuss flat earth and alien Alabamans with you in hope that you learned a lesson from that type of business dealings and will be more prompt with you future customers.
No need to comment on this.

And for whatever purposes: I'm standing in one of our beach cities mayor's office as I type this, looking at the ocean and one of our truckmount line runs out to your sledgehammer. That we still run.

"No.", we do not manufacture truck mounts.
Interesting, the Accelerated site just let me put a new Viper TM in the cart, checkout and was asking me for me payment and shipping info. You might want to turn that off if you're not selling them any more.....

I like the concept of minimizing the space that reels require in vans.

But having mounted "better than R" reels for years on solid new van floors . . .

I do question the long term stability of ceiling mounted heavy vac reels (250#) on vans.

I do like their side-mounted solution reels.

Larry, if we all thought the same way, there would be no such thing as, "innovation".

So... This is something I came up with back in 2004 (verified by the pictures we did of the first, in an Astro van at the time), and have done countless times since then.

The only 2 failures I have seen were:

1.) About two years later, an ex- partner's father attempted to do the same thing in his son's van, but hung supply reels on the vacuum reel, against my warning to the contrary. The welds on that side of the vacuum reel broke within a year and that side of the reel opened up, allowing the vac reel hoop assembly to fall to the floor. (I subsequently removed the supply reels, re-welded the vac reel and installed the supply reels the way they should have been. Last time I saw that van was about 2 years ago and all was still well.)

2.) 4 or 5 years ago, we installed a 300 ft. vac reel made by another company for a customer here in Atlanta, into a Ford E350. The sheet metal of the Ford was so thin that it ripped in a short period of time, opened up and released at the bolt- points. We had to go in and reinforce the van's sheet metal with wide washers that we fabricated to give more surface area for support and reinstalled the reel. Those reels are still holding today. But I would not do such an installation in a Ford with such a heavy arrangement again. (That customer, who has approximately 30 vans, 3 of which were late- model Fords, had other problems with Ford flooring not holding up, recently told me that he has eliminated Fords from his fleet as a result.)

To do it "right", the vacuum reel should not have supply reels hung on it ( especially critical on certain brands of vacuum reels that are welded together, so that the side reels don't add leverage- enhanced vibration against the weld points) and certain (Ford in particular) vans are not good candidates because the sheet metal their bodies are made of is notoriously thin, compared to others.

I did an Accelerated video several years ago (It's on YouTube.), in which I do a pull- up (of sorts) on 1 rail of the 2, used to hang a vacuum reel in a GMC van. The reason was to show how stable it is. There was a reel hung on those rails as well, which, if you watch closely at the farthest point from the rail (the point closest to the floor), will show the most movement, since it is as far as possible from the point of flexion of the mounting rail. There is no visible movement. And my weight on that single rail is considerably more than 1/2 the weight of a loaded reel on a single rail.

(Keep in mind, too, that my weight in the video is in the center of the van- not against the wall as a vacuum reel would be positioned. Bending the mounting rail at the center would be considerably easier (because of the greater leverage against the ends that a leverage point in the center would provide), than bending it nearer to an end of the rail.)

The vacuum reels that I designed are specifically narrower than other reels for a given capacity. (The "Standard Height" series is 4" narrower than other reels commonly available in our industry, for a given capacity. The "Xtra Tall" series is even more so.) So it's not as common for us to sell ceiling mount kits as it once was, since the idea of hanging vac reels is to effectively narrow the frame width of the vac reel by positioning.

NOTE: Hanging one of our "Standard Height" vacuum reels in a GMC or Ford "old style" cargo van would be more complicated, because the reels use all of the available height of the interior as it is. And in hanging a reel, the frame would be located at a height that would be lower than the top of the hoop would be, if the reel was mounted "right side up". So the reel hoop assembly would extend downward past the floor level if done upside down. As a result, the reel axle would have to be mounted on the underside of the frame to raise the hoop assembly "up" the needed 2" to compensate, the reel would have to be disassembled to install it, etc. So as you can see, it's not as common as it used to be, mainly because I designed our vacuum reels to be narrower, which means, "taller", too.

Yeah....until you put down thousands of dollars and get nothing...but promises for weeks....and then the weeks turn into MONTHS. And you seriously have to keep calling, pushing, pressing and maybe you get lucky.

Always feels like the next customer is bankrolling the previous customer's built. No thanks.

A guy showed off his brand new truck set up here at MFN. Inside it had two Duane pressure and garden reels and a Texas discount hose reel.

All of which wobbled like crazy.

I was shocked and saddened at the same time.

Good grief.

A leopard can't change his spots... people don't change. Or it is very rare. I noticed about 3 weeks ago RA explaining on his youtube channel that the reels are "custom" so expect delays.... He looks uneasy in this video talking about the reel but was still saying they are good. Whatever that means to him I guess...
