And I do well in my area Lancaster Ca.

I've got 14 google reviews, 42 Yelp, about 12 on Angie's list, used to have a few in yahoo and bing but they just pull from Yelp now. Also 6 on Facebook.

With a 123 likes, I've just started offering 10% off for Facebook likes.

I've also noticed a couple competitors with 500-600 likes or followers. And 40 to 50 five star reviews each.

These guys have zip for a online profile but are killing it on Facebook.

I need to kill it on facebook.

Like the Guy in Vegas with 7000 followers that's huge.

But what's the best way to do it????

I know I remember him offering his guys a bonus for a great before and after picture.

Which is smart because if its great and gets used they get the bonus and cause them to try and get the most dramatic results.

What you want to do is post good pictures with interesting content.

People love pictures, doesn't have to be before and after but yes those work well too. You've posted plenty of good photos here. Videos are great too!

Your goal is to connect with people, in Facebook lingo its called "Engagement". Its comprised of Likes, Comments, Shares.

Engagement rules. I monitor several Facebook pages and while they post frequently, some nearly daily, they are not Engaging anyone.

When someone likes a picture, a post, request they like your page.
Run low budget "Likes" campaigns. Facebook is cheap less than a cent per person served. The great part is you pick the geographic area, the age, homeowners, pet owners whoever you target.

Get your wife or kids to help. You get the picture, let the help with the content and posting.

Its all very easy, it just takes to commitment. Set a goal for the year, if your competitors have 500 then chase 500 for the year. Make it fun and you'll be suprised how fast it grows.

Good luck!

I need to kill it on facebook.

Like the Guy in Vegas with 7000 followers that's huge.

9,615 likes. 7,000 was so 3 months ago.

But in all seriousness, likes don't mean anything. Looks cool, but doesn't help much with anything. MY suggestion is: DON'T offer 10% off for liking your Facebook page. Your losing money for something that doesn't matter.

Likes come when you start advertising a post. People will usually like your page when they see the ad. This is probably to be able to find you in the future under their "Liked Pages" option on Facebook.

I can't stress enough:
focus on how many people are clicking the link to your webpage that SHOULD be in your ad. When I run an ad, if after $40 spent and I have less than 5 link clicks to my website, I stop running it. Maybe the picture isn't attracting people, maybe the way I worded the ad isn't attracting people to click. So I'll usually stop that ad all together, do a new post with a new picture and run it to see if I get better results.

Don't run post ads with multiple pictures!! If you look at my Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/naturaldry I started running that Rug Cleaning Ad. I have 7 pictures in that post. The results were shit. I thought it would be good because they look pretty cool and would draw attention. Yet I had only 2 link clicks out of $100. Waste of money. Use only ONE Before & After Pic in your post ad. It draws more attention. Make sure the before/after looks good. We've been lacking on doing Before/Afters so I've re ran some old ones from 2014 that people probably don't remember.

I've cut spending back on Facebook to about $600 to $1000 a month. I was running $2,500/mo. Now there are so many people advertising on it. I've put more money towards Yelp and Instagram. We are kicking ass on Instagram with millennials calling. Just who I want right now because as ya'll baby boomers retire, millennials will be moving from their apartments into houses and starting families. Having pets, etc. Longer customer retention. Some people may disagree with my thinking on this, as they have less money right now, but...

If you are going to give discounts for anything on Facebook, do it for reviews!! People trust reviews on Facebook. When your customer posts a review, not only is it good for your page, but their friends see it on their news feed. Free advertising. We give $20 off services for your next cleaning if you do a review for us. I've managed 170 - 5 Star Reviews on Facebook and only 22 on Yelp. The more you advertise on Facebook, more customers will tell you at the job, I seen all of your pictures on Facebook and read the reviews and they were great. People have an easier time pulling up FB and writing a review then on Yelp in my experience. Customers are always scrolling through their Facebook while sitting on the couch or kitchen table when we are cleaning. Easy to get reviews.

One thing else to add to this.. On top of watching for the amount of people clicking on the link in your ad is to see how many people are sharing it. Shares are also free advertising for you. The pic below had a ton of shares (168) and likes (1,100). It went mini-viral for us. All those shares and likes show to those people's friends news feeds for free!

It doesn't have to be expensive unless you want it to be. We posted this last week, spent $30.00.

View attachment 68420

It reached 6,791 (1,446 organic, 5,401 paid) it got 72 likes, 3 comments and 16 shares and 250 post clicks. Good engagement for just $30.00 in a small market.

Small campaigns can still produce good results.

But no link clicks! Where's your website link? Website in the ad is the one of the reasons to run the ad. Including name branding and generating interest.

There is literally dozens of different strategies you can use. I go the opposite for example and focus on link clicks 1st and like/share 2nd. So for $40 I would expect 150-200 link clicks but might only see a handful of likes/shares. NOT saying that is better, my point is you can go in several directions. First define a specific goal then use technology to get there.

My best advice is start with the areas you already have a good presence in. At a min this will act as a cheap reminder to your current customer base. Then slowly build from there, facebook is as bad as google now with 8 million hyper-technical details.

We ran a carousel campaign for web clicks. Each service had the corresponding web page link. It did pretty well but we spend a couple of hundred dollar just on it.

I haven't had any luck with the carousel yet, think its probably great for shopping. Not sure for a contractor but maybe it was just how I did it. :dejection:

It did well or at by least the numbers Facebook gave me. Who knows how accurate they really are. I should probably do another and just change the images.

Me too. I guess if someone calls and tells you they found you on Facebook then you know. I worked really hard getting 14k Likes/Followers to my page then Facebook began limiting how many of them can see your posts...unless you pay...

I would pay for new people to see my posts but it seems wrong to pay so people who already said they want to see my posts, and confirmed that by Liking my page, to see my post.
Hate Facebook but we are all stuck with it for now.

Fat finger syndrome....

Facebook scores every click but analytics might not until they stay X amount of time.
Also not sure why but analytics sometimes can't tell where someone came from and just dumps them in the Direct pile.

There's a lot wrong with my Facebook post spent $50 over a 9 day period.

I should've had a link and number to my site and business.

Other then that the 2 photo comparison shots got way more action then anything else I've done.

I have been getting a few calls we found you on Facebook.

Just remember these little campaigns are branding putting your name before potential clients.

Added about 60 plus likes this week alone.

I remember @WillS saying when he had 7500 likes or followers. If it was slow he could put a promotion and generate calls at Wills! :icon_cool:
