Crawlspace dry time???

But doesn't a basic, commercial dehumidifier put out some good heat, enough to raise the moisture level up enough to be taken out?

If it weren't butt azz cold it potentially could. However the temp is far below the operating temperature of the unit.

At least it is winter and your gpp is very low but it could take weeks depending on the depth of the moisture.

I have come into places...in my past....

That would have a block of ice 3 feet deep....and you would get asked how long to dry out and thaw.... :dejection:

I would use heat drying (and accompanied dehumidification) to control it so not to cause secondary damage....but what a pain :hopeless:

But some insurance companies, you would fight with because they won't pay to dry the ground....as the call it or also know as outside the structure....

I would usually just ask them if they wanted a phone number now for a mold remediation company for later in the year....

Boy I don't miss those days.....

But there are too many variables such as fighting still cold weather outside....just too many variables....

Try drying out a space like that with solid ice in -25 below zero temps! Ugh!
