They should just buy Hydramaster and Masterblend too and see how rich all you carpet cleaners really are... see how much more you are willing to pay for machines that are primarily used on an ever shrinking market of floor covering material- carpet.

The Canadian will just freeze their door shut soon.

Right now it makes sense to drive your van across the border and buy a Cleanco unit. Adds up to a 35% discount when you pay in US dollars.

switch to what?

A Butler?
Since Legend Brand hasn't bought me out yet (what are them ookers waiting for?) its a moot point. I ain't switching nothing.

Here is the sentiment Mike: These companies are not evil it is just the nature of business. They actually have some very nice & neat people working for them. However, these big corporations that buy them need to show growth and keep getting bigger. We know the financial reasons for it.

I am just a small independent business owner that likes (if he can) support smaller businesses. As long as they can provide a good quality product I would rather support them than their behemoth competitors. It's my 2 cents contribution.

If you ever do get one of these, please make a decent video. These things are really sharp looking truck mounts. I'd love to see one in action

Ive been dealing with these guys as I'm still running my 2006 Powerclean freedom and honestly they are great to deal with. Was there in November replacing the Koehler engine on my mount and she's running like new again. The alpha 440 has a bunch of improvements over the Powerclean freedom which makes them easier to maintain, work on and run. They did away with alot of the unreliable parts and re engineered it to get more performance out of them. Jim is very passionate about what he's doing and building these.

I wonder why they don't promote it?
Not too sure why but I see an opportunity for a new advertiser on here. Also, I grabbed some of their Millenium 3 prespray while I was down there and am impressed with it. Compared it to a couple other name brand high pH presprays and it did a great job.

I think direct. I loved my victory 47. I regret selling it. Any good truckmount mechanic.
I have a victory with 400 hours on the new engine for 6500 and another with 3000 hours for 4 grand and a non running complete machine that id sell for 2500 if you take all 3 I will sell them all for 11000. If powerclean was still in business as powerclean that number would be double

They still owe a lot of people a lot of money no distributor is going to touch them. Id still be selling powercleans if they didn't go bankrupt oh and if they paid me what they owe me. I had no problem selling them over prochems they Freedom and Genesis
are damn fine machines

That's unfortunate. But I do agree they are great machines. With regards to prochem and sapphire, I don't see them keeping both lines of truck mounts.

There is MUCH more money in cleaning than in selling TMs.

There is more money in selling TMs than in MAKING them.

We the cleaners have a very inflated perception of the money actually cleared by manufacturers, thus so many garage builders.

After all, "it's just a pump, motor and blower" right?

I love myth as the doof next door, but I doubt it Lee. At the prices they are charging these days and considering their costs due to volume- there's decent money in manufacturing them.

The "cry woolf" "wow is me" "I am loosing my pants" in manufacturing, is highly entertaining but inaccurate. There is money there Lee, there's money. And no it is not as simple as one thinks. Actually the thinking types know it ain't. It's the mechanically skilled cleaners that think they know better than anyone else.

Then a lot of smart people needlessly took bankruptcy Ofer.

There's well run businesses and badly run businesses Lee.
You know that. And many of the bankruptcy happened after the bubble burst and these businesses did not have the financial breathing room. In a cash intensive business, you need some cushioning to weather a bad turn in the economy.

Using your logic Lee, there's no money in carpet cleaning either. Because so many carpet cleaners at the time went bankrupt as well.

Is your source for no money in manufacturing come from these guys:

$22 million, about what 3 dozen ICS cleaners net in a year...
The article says the 22 million is net sales. What would the net profit be then? Half that number? Less, probably much less considering the costs of a fixed location, various roles of employees, fabrication of materials...on and on.
