I charge higher than that, and I'm in a broke town.
And drive a trailer.

Sorry Matt. I'm just moody right now. I'm waiting for my friend to call me so I can take my Promaster over to his place and spray in a bedliner. The wait is killing me.

I don't blame the dog...so guess who I blame? Too cold for the dog...bs. Too cold for the Owner so lets plant a lawn in the basement?
The Cleaning Technician was looking at a full restoration and a lot more $$$ or since the Owner isn't likely to take the dog out anyway... spray it with deodorizer and call it better than it was when he got there.
Dumping the water could have been handled better.

That guy really was parked too close to the door. You're lucky carbon monoxide didn't kill you and the cleaner. I would rather run an extra 50' of hose than wake up dead.

2 sides to every story.

I bet it was rat nasty down there, I would have either walked or charged a lot more to deal with what you have allowed.

Why didn't you post pictures of your dog urinal room before nitpicking this guy?

I did a job last week & every time I gagged the price went up.

Are you a former carpet cleaner by means of host user? Letting your dog piss on the carpet like that... You got the wrong services.. Ya shouldve went to home depot and bought new pads and carpet and maybe plywood to replace the floor entirely...i used to be a floor installer, i know what a septic floor looks like..ugh. Unsanitary even for your dog... Also, get your dog diapers. Problem solved.

For a few of the new people who don't know her, Deb Lema is an awesome friend of the cleaning industry.

She went to bat for us against steep opposition during the CRI effort to use questionable "science" to dictate acceptable chemistry.

She did it with class, and obvious care.

  1. She missed us.
  2. Not every carpet cleaner is a prince. But dumping the dirty water right in front, sure makes one look like a frog.
  3. Stinky van does not equate repeat business.

Please let me know if I should carry on, Bob :winky:

She had the resources to find a good carpet cleaner but went with... who she went with. So was it some kind of experiment to experience what the coupon clippers experience? That is the part I don't get.
It also feels a little HOST smug...the carpet is wet...oh so wet! Maybe it was and maybe this guy was a total hack idiot...who did one thing that was dumb for sure - and maybe there is her side of the story and his side of the story...we weren't there but we know he walked into a mess. That's all.

Perhaps... But would she have paid for the effort, and after she paid big money would she still complain even LOUDER because the odor returned.. I think so.. No thank you!

I was not offended in the least.

The fact that she found a goober willing to buy and use that wand is like winning the damn lotto..

Facts:

1. She writes well and it's nice to see her insight through the customer's eyes.

2. Her insight is biased based on her industry experience. No idea what that is other than it has to do with Host.

3. Her carpet contained AT LEAST 15 GALLONS of urine (16 oz. Per day x 4 months).

4. Maybe cleaner X did a sub-par job because the last thing he wants in this instance is a repeat customer.

Next time I will look you up! Will you come to Racine?

And yeah I AM concerned about all the untreated stuff going into the lake; aren't you?

I am, but he would get a $5,000 or more ticket for what the government gets away with 1,000,000 fold(not saying he was right)..

I'll tell you what, there is a company that services your area that guarantees pet odor ELIMINATION with their "proprietary" products(they use 1.5 whip hose though, lol) If you schedule with them I will personally pay half the bill if you do a descriptive review like this last one(no need for the company name posted here ever).. This deal just goes for their products no pad replacement. PM me for their info.. I would love to clean for you, but expectations are higher then I can help you with in the odor department.

I would have dumped it on the lawn filtered through a paint strainer.. You have to dump through a vac hose! NO CLASS!

Few and far between for me, but it happens.. I live exactly in the middle of my service area, so we pass the house at least once a day..
