I noticed that some TM's can have either a 60, 80 or 100 gallon waste tank.
Does that affect the machines performs?

There's one that has a 210 gallon stainless steel waste tank. An auto pump out system is a good add which ever size waste tank you have.

I was under the impression that the larger recovery tank cause some delay in the recovery time. Could be the old machines where the extra load will kick in the extra vacuum or whatever you call it.

This is true if you have AOL dial up service, or a bag phone. :winky:

Seriously not true if the powerplant is matched to the air it needs to evacuate.

I loved being bounced off by AOL, it was so...............personal. Them were the good old days.

Still looking for a buyer for my vintage

I understood the tank size had to be matched with the blower size .. 50-70 gal for 33 .. 70 - 90 gallon was ideal for 36 .. youd need a 45 or larger to use a 100 gallon or more .. it makes sense to me.

Id like a 45 blower matched with a 50 gallon space saving tank that pumps out either to a low profile whole floor covered reserve tank or onto the grass via lawn sprinkler !!

Think of the tank as a storage device.

Initially, it slows the vac level rise time.

Once it reaches max vac, it tends to maintain the vac level.

So if you don't lift the wand off the carpet you will maintain better vacuum.

My first TM had a 33 blower and maybe a 50 gallon waste tank. I switched it to a 100 gallon tank without any perceived differences in performance. I was worried that it would cause a delay in vacuum build up, I didn't notice any.

Is their a pump out system where you do not have waste tank at all? Just pump it out in toilet or something? All homes have a sewer line somewhere where you can dump...unless that is not legal as well..

Fox TMs by Organic Cleaning Compounds don't really have waste tanks, just a mechanical pump out. In AZ, as long as you filter the water it can be pumped out to flat ground - no washes or rivers.

Pretty close to it - ours were built by Duane Oxley - about 10 gal waste tank with continuous discharge -belt driven pedestal trash pump.

most anyone with a clue could determine for themselves

if you have a 60, 75, 100+ gal waste tank, tell me if you can tell any practical difference from an empty tank at start up to a near full one at end of job
I can't with a 110 gal tank, 45 blower @ 3200 rpm/14" lift

it ain't rocket science to determine this stuff for yourself , kiddies

The Big Red I used to work with had about 12 gallon waste tank with a Jabsco transfer pump. #5 blower could suck your underwear off through your pants.

Yes it matters can most tell the difference , no.

I believe Vacuum, is as we are discussing here can be seen or viewed as momentary yet constant stored energy Potential as long as the machine is running,
