Where do you plan to use it?

I personally love them both. The Cimex rules on CGD wide open spaces. The Orbot visually removes soil on to the pads and dries rapidly.

We own 8 Cimex's and 3 Orbots we often mix both along with HWE on the same job.

It is as Lee stated the most versatile. You can use it in nursing homes or facilities that never close. It dries rapidly because you use so little solution. You can also use it on residential carpet, something you can't/shouldn't with a Cimex. Great for touching up spots, correcting Browning or water stains. It's also easily loaded by one man, something not easily accomplished with a Cimex.

However if you are maintaining CGD the Cimex is a beast. It eats up chunks of sq/ft with ease.

Which is best? Depends on what you are cleaning.

We recently purchased a Cimex and love it. An absolute beast on CGD. That being said, we are looking to pick up the Orbot Vibe as another tool to use. Does anyone know of a reliable vendor to purchase one from, and is there still a three month wait?

A good orbital machine can be handled like a sports car. The Cimex is more like a stout work truck.

Both have their place. And both cross over the gap into each other's territory.

The Cimex is a work animal. It's perfect for commercial work. If you are serious about commercial carpet care, you'll LOVE the Cimex. An orbital is more of a crossover machine that can handle residential up to moderately large commercial. It all comes down to what fits your business model.

I chose Cimex in the beginning and I'm glad I did. I have an OP now, but it rarely comes out compared to the Cimex. I'd love to rig up an hour meter for the thing so I knew how many hours I've used the thing.

I use my Sprayborg much like a cimex. I use an aggressive pad with an o2 encap on cgd. A little slower than a cimex but not by much. A good choice unless you have thousands of sqft to plow through. Then the cimex comes into play.

Where did you get you're Sprayborg Ron? And, how much? I can get a 19" Cimex for 4200$.....

They do make a 15" Cimex if you'd like to use it in residential.. @encapman how much lighter is a 15" Cimex?

If your more commercial, I'd get a Cimex if your doing encapsulation cleaning.. If your residential and little commercial I'd get a Orbot..

What type of cleaning do you do..?

The 15" may spin faster, but the 19" carries more weight which is very noticeable on trashed carpet & using Gray FiberMax pads.

& YOU CAN get it into tight spaces if needed.

The 15" has lighter head weight. It tends to float & bounce on the carpet, rather than driving down in the pile like the 19" does. Using it the way Chavez does makes sense. But it's on the light side for doing any level of serious commercial work.

I agree. It lacks the head weight of the bigger machines.

I'd still like another new big wheeled model one of these days.
When you say 'big wheeled ', are they 8-9"? Cause that's what the one I'm buying has..... and a concrete kit, a few boxes of assorted pads, and 3 cases of encap juice....
