Not talking rich customers, rather notable businesses, county and city and state buildings or management, military etc..
I was asked to apply for level 5 security clearance. 28 pages of questions.... answering things that I never thought anyone would ask. Got an interview/screening coming up. Canada’s CIA...... CSIS..... not allowed to say more.....

Aren't they both dead?

They weren't the famous Carol and Joan. We occasionally get famous sounding names of people we do work for, heck George Lucas used to work for us cleaning carpet up until about 10 years ago. It was just funny that one person got both calls in one day.

I once talked to a famous singer who lives in town. She was giving the crew a hard time and I got on the phone to talk to her about it. We worked it out and she let the crew finish their work.

After I hung up I realized that I should have told her " MS. Franklin, can you please give the crew some R E S P E C T. " Not sure how that would have been received, but It would have been to see her reaction.

Lots of Celebrities when I had the business in Santa Barbara. The nicest one was Jonathan Winters. He told me about how he was poor as a kid. Asked me if I had a microwave oven... and since I didn't he gave me a brand new one... said they had ordered one too many. That was a big deal to my wife. Not many people had them yet and they were still very expensive. Steve Martin, Kenny Loggins, Michael Douglas... guys with oscar statues...music composer, writers, and others. I remember a elderly woman in Montecito who had nurses at the house full time...very old. Her house had buttons to push for her Driver, Kitchen, Maid Quarters... Pictures of her when she was young and beautiful as a silent film star. Charlie Chaplin had a movie studio in Montecito. He also owned the Montecito Inn... just damaged by the recent mud slides and one of our old accounts. Fess Parker...Daniel Boone on TV and his Red Lion Resort, I use to take care of these 2 giant hand made rugs for the resort...do one dry it and then the other because they were in the lobby. They paid over 50k each for the rugs...1990's. They hired a new Maintenance Manager who told the Owners I charged too much and bought portables and used chemicals from the Janitorial supply, they ruined both rugs. Kenmore Family...Kenmore appliances, Colt... Colt Gun Grand Daughter, Kellogg...owner of the food company. Pro Athletes... lots of other people most would know.

No one famous so far as I know since I started back in Florida. The best account I have here is on Marco Island for a property management company that rents houses to wealthy people. The have 100 houses. Rents start at 5k a week and go way up from there. When they call me I do everything and at top price. Almost like they are trying to find more for me to do and charge them for...including fabric protection. That's my best account. Also a Interior Designer that calls once or twice a month for me to seal new tile, counter tops and showers at new construction. It's already clean...very good money and no hours on the Butler.
Long... Sorry Marty.

If you haven't already they are your reason to buy a dozen pieces of drying equipment. They trust you and want to use you. With 100 homes you can have a number of non hurricane related, wdr problems a year.

Yes, they and a couple other accounts are the reason I'm gearing up slowly now for the Summer/hurricane season. I am taking a 3 day class at the end of the month to refresh my knowledge on restoration and learn what has changed since I was heavy in it.

My #1 accnt. Is like that except they bought all the equipment so I would have it when they flood somewhere in the complex. It’s mine to use anywhere, but I pay them rental if I use elsewhere.
