It’s time to glide! A guide to glides?

I have a pmf titanium wand 15inch. I have always used the two part bolt on glide. Now I hear that they are making a one piece glide that is rounded with alternating slots and holes.
Is there an advantage to one over the other? In my dimwitted mind the slots and holes would reduce airflow and cause longer dry times than with the old design that has one big slot all the way across.

easier to push compared to slot

as far as drying, there's not a dimes worth of difference in any of them.

Though I'm sure some will say different .
but only because they haven't done any same day/same room/same wand evaluations to complete dry on different carpets

Shouldn't be an issue... Been using my glide the past month now and dry time is even better. That's with my porty..

Of course it’s easier to push with slots and old man holes. Because less air is causing that water to go back in the wand.

I’m comparing the dry times from my mach15 to my slotted prochem quad. The Mach 15 is so much better with dry times than my quad. Of course, the quad with no glide is the best dry time, but you’re sacrificing your shoulder, hip, and back.

PMF had a round profile 2 pc slot that was the cats ass...

if its harder to push will you do dry strokes? Glides makem easier to push which means more inclined to do dry strokes which means cleaner and drier, yep they restrict your wand but they dont restrict your body..

Use a glide any glide unless your a part timer with no long term commitment (in which case use a glide)

and the rocket surgeons coined the term "slot velocity" for the claims that holes dry faster than slot.
and they do indeed feel like it to touch immediately after running a hole next to slot

touch/feel it a half hour to an hour later, and you can't tell the difference.
and to complete dry, there's no practical difference in 14 hours and 14 hours and 30 minutes

I like pmf's flat 2 piece glide. Feels like it has more contact with the carpet than the round glides. I use both, the flat glide just feels better.
