Will a CRB and a spinner clean as well as a Rotovac 360i?

I’ve been using a 360i for a couple weeks and it does a great job cleaning but it’s a painfully slow process compared to wanding. I work alone almost all the time so all the cords , switching to a wand for edges etc is way too slow, wondering if using a CRB / spinner combo will clean as deeply without taking so much time?

Maybe give it some more time. The 360i cleans better and with less effort then the wand. You can speed up your production time by avoiding getting hypnotized by the site glass; or moving the RE across the carpet faster to do nearly as incomplete of a job as the wand would do.
I doubt CRB and Spinner to would be faster since its a 2 step process.

I still agitate by hand before I use the Rotovac so it’s still two steps, it’s also real hard getting used to low pressure vs using higher pressure, my burner likes the higher pressure better!

Actually even alone I can CRB and Zipper much faster....

With 2 people blistering speeds sometimes[/QUOTE]
Do you see as much soil removal, fuzz etc in your filter? I definitely saw a huge increase in the filth removal with the Rotovac.

Not as much carpet fiber.

There are sometimes a rotary can be the right tool for the job... But there are also times it is not.

As @Mikey P mentioned having both can be a good thing.

How many times one is used can depend on your clientele...

I use the CRB and Zipper or SS Super Spinner (Hyper Spinners) or Conway Devastator Wand more than a rotary... Like a lot...

Now after typing this I will probably have a greater number of cleaning needing rotary... But it doesn't look like that in the schedule.

Which drys faster? It seems like certain carpets dry great with the Rotovac and others not near as well.

It could be the fiber type or maybe your lint trap was full.
Dont forget to remove the "lint doughnut" that can accumulate around the spindle of the head.
BTW- wands need more pressure then the RE because they don't have the agitation of the brush.
Zippers are great but they are also exhausting to use. Zippers give my legs a good work out. The RE is nearly effortless.

:headscratch: Maybe I should use the zipper and CRB to get rid of my beer gut?

Different motions both are still work. Both are better than slinging a wand.
I prefer the ZIPPER SPINNER, It's up and down motion is not much different than mowing the lawn.

Drying head to head? I can't say I see much difference. Maybe it slightly favors the ZIPPER just because you not spending as much time crossing over the carpet.

I wouldn't buy a ZIPPER for dry times only. I'd buy it because it flushes like no other. I'd buy it because it's easier than humpin a wand. It also doesn't require a power cord. Which may sound minor but fookin around with a cord can be a pain. Especially if you ever get it near the head while running. :shifty:

You just described my two biggest hates of the rotary, the back and forth and the cord, third is the grip arrangement, doesn’t wear me out but it kills my elbow for some reason, a traditional rotary handle seems more comfortable.

Mytee has wraps that secure the vac, solution hoses and power cord. I prefer to use those once I precondition. It's sucks to unwrap them but it's much better than constantly monitoring the power cord.

The roto works your forearms where the ZIPPER works your legs.

Use them before you buy either.

Both are spinners but there is a world of difference in how they operate. Don't assume they are the same, try them out.
Just from watching videos of both last night I would rather get a zipper, it actually cleans up to the edges and seems like it would fit better in places. Also doesn’t have the handlebar type controls.

I think it would clean better than a regular wand, why not use a spinner in homes? It looks like there wouldn’t be any issue with getting around things?

The spinner use a lot more water 800-1000 psi.

With diesel heat I hope you don’t make crop circles in some nylons!

I have a 15 inch and it’s a beast on open areas not a fan of it in homes.

Like Richard said try one, before you buy one!

I have no problem using the 360i in homes. I don't use it on every job but when faced with heavily soiled carpet, I find it very quick. Yes I still have to edge with a wand, actually, I wand lightly over the same area that I have rotovacced. I have a crb and other scrubbers as well as a zipper but the rotovac cleans more thoroughly in my opinion, with the brush head of course. It's a learning curve like any other tool but much faster than a scrubber and wand.
