We recieved a message from a company in Florida wanting to review and go over our mitigation invoice for a recent loss.... it wasn't the insurance company it was another company hired by insurance company...
Just out of curiosity what did you tell them? By the way, this type of activity has been in the works with the top tier insurers for years. It's much cheaper to farm out auditing to independent auditors than to maintain staff adjusters/auditors.
Then your job is done as long as customer is happy.
If you are already paid, the I wouldn't put up with anything from insurance company as anything that comes out will just be in there their favor and not yours.
Just ask them one thing, when they call you, how much per hour are you going to get paid for talking or working with them and ask for a deposit.
