What is your thoughts;
I went to look at this rather new apartment here in town and it is 4 floors up.
The ceilings are high so it is a little higher then normal.
When you enter this building there are only 2 main entrances, on each side of the front.

To get your hoses up to the floors you will have to drop them from whatever floors stairway. (windows out of question).

There are 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments.
The management told me that one cleaner wanted an extra $100 to go up to the 4th floor.
Trust me, 50' to the main door and whatever is need to get up to the top, and into the apartment.

How would you bid this?

Thanks.

Portable unless your doing multiple units... Then the setup time would be worth it... I've done a 6th floor unit but we knew the resident manager and would also do the hallways in that same building... When she quit, I went back to using a portable for the units...

I'd charge $100 just to drag a porty up 4 flights!

We charge $10 per floor up while cleaning for the tenant

Work done for PM is discounted slightly

I guess it boils down to your need. A friend asked me to look at a neighbor's condo tomorrow. "FYI, there is a local guy doing them for $50-75."

My charge for the size she describes is $234. However, I will go look because my friend makes good coffee and can carry a conversation.

One of the managers that I work for moved to a big time pita building, I'm NOT looking forward to it.. The building has 4 floors, that isn't the problem it's the units that are on the back side(no access) that concerns me. I absolutely HATE portables, but I might just have to get me a Dwell pro..

I gave an estimate(and went high on the back side units) on this building last year, but didn't get it and was fine with that! The hard thing is scheduling and making sure there is two guys when the run sucks.. Best thing to do is get familiar with the numbering of the units so you know which ones suck, and plan accordingly. A bad hose run at this building would add at least an hour for a guy working by himself.

I don't see bringing a Dwell Pro up 4 flights as being too easy.

Standard porty designs are a tad more stair-friendly.
The Dwell Pro can be stood up just like a hand truck....and go up and down stairs really easy.

They have elevators at all the buildings I service, if they didn't I sure as hell ain't dragging a porty up stairs!!

LOL

Damn! You're funny looking!

Hyper-active adolescent masturbation and 12 years of making pizzas makes it a little easier for me to handle my porty than most fairies.

It's all in the forearms baby.............

Listen to the elder Stockwell. It doesn't matter how small the amount of carpet you are cleaning is if it takes that much longer just to set up. Every job is different so price it based on your overall time and need for their business.
