Funny that it is easier to get maintenance information (wonderful videos) about the Butler machine from Saiger than from Butler.

This weekend I've done my first oil change on my Butler by myself. First ever and if you know me, that's quite an accomplishment. Thank you Mark. You've boosted the self esteem of this dummy.

So here is my second dummy question- How do you change the pump belt (newer butler)?
I know how to do the blower belts. However the pump belt does not have a tension-er.
Do I just use leverage with a tool handle and kind of stretch & force it in?
Do I need to take anything else off?

Video?!!? :icon_redface:

Anyhow, much obliged for your excellent videos.

Pump belt goes off and on easy, even without tools. You can horse it off by pushing it to the side of the big pulley then turning that pulley. To put your new one on just loop it over the small pulley first, then start it on the big pulley and just turn the pulley until it snaps into place.

It took me longer to write that sentence than to actually remove and replace.

It's also easier to show you than to try to write it out. Come on, Mark, video requested.

So the pump mounts aren't slotted?

Seems kind of cobby.
My older one was. I needed to loosen the bolts on the pump, to loosen the belt. Put the new one on, slide the pump so the belt had tension, re-tighten the bolts.
I am not much for horseing around!!LOL
If I need to force something (horse it) I feel as if I may be breaking it!

Saiger is a good deed robot. He sent me a video and instructions when I put a butler filter box on my 870. It was a little difficult to install, but I got a steal on the filter

Mark had all 5 belts in my Butler system, 3 in Butler and 2 under the hood, changed in roughly 7 minutes and he spent some of that 7 minutes talking to me.

Zero tools required for the Butler and I think it was just a socket under the hood.

Fluids are a joke to change.

Ofer made the obvious choice.

I often wonder if Butler knows what they have in Mark Saiger.
