We have a great Area Community Foundation that anyone can use to invest money if for charitable causes and Endowments.
When I was a Band Director here, we were the very first to ever use and start the funding.
Before I left, I had started 2 great endowment funds for the band program...they will never have to fundraise for a uniform again, and also, some musical instruments can be funded out of this too.
Yesterday, we have an Endowment that started with the passing of a younger teacher friend of ours that passed of a rare lung cancer.
Friends of hers put together "The Bash" as the call it now to keep funding help for Cancer victims in our area. It is a great community even and something we attend and like to Sponsor.
Next year after attending again this year....we are going to give more in Sponsorship.
Just an inspiration what takes place!
Our Grandkids of course had a blast and to watch the 4 year old run obstacle courses, and more humorous, our more than determined 2 year old doing it too!
