I have a boxxer 427.I descaled it today and the temp. guage went up to 220 degrees and stayed there after idleing it down and lowering the heat and running at idle for about 10 min. After letting machine cool for an hour, when i turn the key on without starting it the guage still goes to 220. Has anyone experienced this? Thank you for any help.

more then likely the bulb that is reading the temp and sending it up to the gauge is no good.....why they do not put these things in thermal wells is beyond me.......
