I'm trying to get business insurance but I'm finding that many companies want you to have previous years of insurance coverage. Not sure how you get insurance if most required prior policy coverage.

Can anyone recommend a reputable insurance company that does not require prior policy coverage? Most recent company I checked with was State Farm.

I was able to insure with American Family when I started and I'm still with them.

Years and years ago at age 18 I started out with Ohio Casualty.

Don't know if they are still around.

With State Farm now and have been for years.

I suggest contacting an all lines agent.

They should be able to find someone for you.

I was just searching to switch insurance companies and I found that most would insure but that if you're new, starting out, your rates will be higher no matter who you go with.

Statefarm actually was able to help me lower my rates since I'm no longer doing janitorial. By 2/3 rds.

I found Nationwide has the best rates with good coverage.

General Insurance: $781 per yr with $1million coverage.

Commercial truck: $1687 per yr with $500 deductible,
Bodily Injury - $25k/$50k
Property Damage - $15k
Uninsured Motorist - $20k/$40k
Replacement cost on truck and equipment

Those coverages are way to low. You would have very little protection of your personal assets.
