does anyone know a good hand held liquid sprayer wet vacuum extractor I can spot clean cat vomit stains?
I need to clean up after a cat once a week, and would love a cross between a hand vac and a carpet cleaner.
Obviously, I remove the "chunks" with a paper towel, but would love to better clean any remaining wet stain.

the carpet is a short pile wool - no loop fibers - so the cats don't tear it up.

I've read good reviews about the: Bissell Spot Bot Hands Free Portable Deep Cleaner

Any pro's here have feedback to share on this gizmo?
seems like a lot of trouble to set up and clean this device,
just for a once per week 4"x4" wet carpet stain.

I still wish I could find something more affordable like this;
Bissell 1719B SpotLifter 2X Portable Deep Cleaner Carpet Cleaner
but I worry this may be too weak to do a good job.

you must not be a professional carpet cleaner and found this board by accident doing a google search???

anyway, welcome

that machine is a plastic toy piece of junk.
all the machines marketed to home owners are.
Even the "so called" carpet cleaning machines, not just those junk spotter machines.

you'd be better off with a squirt bottle, shop vac and microfibers towels

if you want a real spotting machine, you'll need to spend $400 to $600+
Several models to choose from and they'll last a homeowner a life time.

you'll also be able to clean you vehicle carpet and seats with it

here's one that's sells for a decent price

I agree, simply wetting the stain then using a good extractor nozzle wet dry vac would be superior to these gimmicks.
can you think of a small affordable wet dry vac to use on an occasional carpet spot? $400 is way out of my budget
I don't own a vehicle.

John, those seem to be rated by Horse Power.
(1.5, 3.0, 6.0, etc.)
what would you guess should be the lowest HP
I should invest in for my intended purpose.

is Craftsman the only brand worth considering?

Sorry Joe I don't get into all that type BS. They make a great small wet 2-3 gallon wet vac (I have had mine for years) Craftsman is a better brand that stands behind its products.) Get the most you can afford. ..

is Craftsman better than Shop-Vac "AllAround"
in the low HP low price model line?

http://www.shopvac.com/vacs/list.asp?hd ... lAround%AE

I read this 5hp goes on sale at Sears down near $50,
so maybe I'll keep an eye on this Sears Craftsmen
which seems to be the best dollar to HP power deal,
and it includes the tool nozzles I'm most likely to use.

Thanks for chiming in to avoid those Bissell gimmicks
and simply invest in an affordable Wet Dry Vacuum,
which may eventually prove useful for other chores.
