OK, our family van is a 97 Chevy express 1500 with the 305.

I decided to change the plugs.

I took the engine cover off, grabbed my rune stones, and kept saying to myself "WWBD" (What Would Bawb Do?).

I cannot even get my huge monkey paws in there between the floor and the engine to get the wires off.

Is it easier to take it somewhere and pay some goon to do it??

Thanks for any advice

I'd take it to someone with the right tools to do the change. V6's and vans are a nightmare....I'd do a 4 cylinder no problem or a TM/Lawnmower engine. But a cargo van or a v6/v8 front wheel drive....forget it the front plugs are easy but the back plugs......

4 changed, only lost about 1/2 quart of blood. :D

Now I gotta climb up under that beast and see if I can even see the rest.

What a great way to spend an afternoon!
