It seems that I am always changing the center o-ring every few months, is this normal?

Yea those are great valves, but they suck too. The pressure rips those O-rings and you're constantly screwing with it. For the money you'rd thing they would last long. Rebuildable only has value when you don't have to do it all the time.

We quit using them and now buy the cheap ones at 1/6 of the cost. Then you can afford to toss them when they break or leak.

I've been using a bristor stainless shut off for about six months and its great, I liked the circleseals too but these seem to last longer.
