I need to insure my enclosed trailer but in order to do so I need to put my pickup under commercial insurance as well. I was just quoted $2700 a year and thought this may be a little high. If I do end up paying this much is it tax deductable?

Your numbers are decent. My truck and trailer, fully insured was around $250/month. I valued my trailer at $35k

Is your insurance more or less for your new truck?

Swani, your insurance is deductible if you are not depreciating the truck.
