one of my customers is what they call Orthodox Presbyterian what ever that means. The women dress in old fashioned dresses and their place looked like the Walton's. Always paid on time and were easy to deal with. They would always make me lunch. Give me religious people anytime.

"My father in law owns a carpet cleaning company"

"I haven't had my carpet cleaned in 4 years, it just needs a regular cleaning."

"Last time we had the carpets cleaned, it was only $89."

"There's a few purple, orange, green, red stains."

"Stairs are considered an area, shouldn't they be free like the hallway?"

"I usually clean the carpets myself and don't want to spend a lot."

"Are you insured? Is there a guarantee if I am not happy I get a refund?"

I get that some of the time and I accommodate. But then again I charge per room so giving an estimate via email is simple. It also leaves a paper trail. I aways clearly lay out the prices and find out the reason why they are having there carpets cleaned. If urine smell is not involved, for me it is not that big of a deal. Same with text messages.

In today's environment, you really require Work Orders with releases/etc in a contractual form (on the back), and have your customer(s) sign it.

This indicates that you are off the hook (for the most part).

Yea, but they have to let me know how many rooms! Maybe what town you are in, would be helpful...

I really get emails just like this. "I'd like to get a quote to clean all the carets in my home, please respond by email only."

Some respond to our emails(what the heck would ya like cleaned) some don't.
