Us Michiganders are used to having a built in map at the end of our arm. In fact, the hipsters are currently making a fortune selling these for 30 bucks a pop.
So to say something is from the "Thumb Area" is the most natural thing in the world to us. Always gets a puzzled look when dealing with someone from out of the area, though.

Just always loved the show. When I originally signed up on MB I used a fake name (Art Vandelay, which is George's alias on the show) and I've just kept the same picture.

My company is called A Plus Carpet Cleaning. ,
I know it sounds a bit bland and many people think I named it that to be first in the phonebook. Who actually uses the phone book anymore? Anyway, I came up with that name as a tip-of-the-hat to my wife. She has been teaching for the public schools for 22 years. It may sound dumb, but there you have it.

I was thinking of changing my company name to "Eco Green Chem Steam Oxy Fresh". Because those words are hardly ever used in our industry.
