We had a fun one yesterday. Cat 1, Class 2 cleanup due to broken hot water heater.
guys finished weighted extraction, microban, all equipment setup. Customer was signing the equipment instruction log and sewage shot out of all toilets sinks, tubs, showers.

Apparently the city was working in the street and caused the backup.
The adjuster was trying to be a jerk and tell us we won't get paid for first one.
Sooo glad we took pictures of everything...... NOW it had become two separate claims....

Yes, the poor customer nearly shit himself (no pun intended). $2500 per claim.
once we get to the reconstruction side, we will see if we can help rebate part of that either in free upgrades and/or discounts.....

Ouch!

I hate when we get storms that cause one claim followed by another within days. Homeowner wants them combined which of course we can't do.
