Got the call....

Just installed that day...

High end Shaw nylon that special ordered...came form California Shaw Factory...

Everything a bit late arriving and when seamed together, it would fluff up at seams, but not the rest of the carpet....

And color was not correct.

Carpet was giving off lots of Tufts...and not the correct color from the sample chosen (which can vary) but was way different.

Got panic call on Friday to see if we could fix.

Did acid Rinse only...protected and documented the heck out of the place also.

Some of the finest craftsmanship in the home I have ever seen in a home (well especially up here)

Got the call, the carpet matches the sample chosen from...is soft and fluffy again...

Everyone happy...including me to get out of there without owning something having a Damon moment @Nomad74

This is one of 2 of their lake homes...one next door similar...just half the size...

Seam issues are caused by running the hot seam iron against the nap thus reversing the lay. The tufts of carpet on landing looked like they had gotten a little aggressive with the knee kicker. Good job on fixing the feel.

Mark I am impressed by all the corner guards and care. Explain what the issue was and why the acid rinse corrected it. I haven’t run into this situation.

Very nice. Except for the snow. Move immediately. I send a daily text message to Tom and Ivan alerting them to what the temps are going to be. This mornig it's 29°here but the high is going to be 71°. We are having some nutty temperature swings. Anyway, I think i'm annoying the guys with my temp alerts. I just don't want them to go through what I went through when my pre-exchanger cracked.

Great customer care. Great results.

As a carpet inspector, I would be asking - "Why are there tufts coming out?" maybe issues with the latex backing or aggressive use of knee kicker or something else. "Why is the carpet stiff?" These could be symptoms of bigger problems that might still show up down the road.

Don't know exactly what caused it but main problem and complaint... Really prickly and crusty feel

Color did not match close at all to the original color sample chosen from (which usually can be other issues)

And with the crusty feel also, the carpet would not open up or fluff up.

Took chance on just an acid rinse and HWE after good prevac to see what we would get.

They installed dirty carpet?

We vac a lot of filth out of new carpet.

Ya know, if you had a bane you could pull into the garage And close the door all the way.

Is it possible the loose tufts where just left over from the installation? Installers leave some big messes.

Hi Mark great job I notice that one photo looks like the carpet is two different colors minor but noticeable . I wonder if the installer reversed the arrow flow and there running toward each other and not in the same direction. jz 330 to 340 time on film

It's also a possibility of side to side shading. I don't know how many times I've seen carpet from the same roll with that issue.
