Too many guys near my age dying around here on their big bikes, and not because they lose balance.

I watched two people... I think his Sons, hold an old/ancient guy up so he could pass his eye exam at the DMV here in Florida. He drove home.
If you need a bike that holds itself up then you shouldn't be riding a bike. But maybe it would be a good seller in Florida.

I would let my kids have dirt bikes off road, but no street bikes.
    Mean Dad...

Not because I didn't trust their skills, it was the goofs who would hit them.

My dad wouldn't let me ride a mini bike.

Probably was a good thing. I got hurt enough playing in the sand lot next door.

I grew up riding. Got my first mini-bike at 8. First motorcycle at 13. On the road at 14. Sold my last bike after my last motorcycle trip at age 24. Haven't been on one since. Kids and life just changed my priorities.

I rode motorcycles most of my life. Mostly rice rockets. I used to drag race in a modified stock class. My bike at the time was a 1972 Suzuki GT 750. Water cooled triple cylinder 2 stroke. We put semi domed pistons, larger carbs and a Yoshimura tuned exhaust on it and got a best time of 11 seconds at aprox 114 mph. These days you can buy a bike off the showroom floor that's faster than that. Heres a pic of my last bike. 002.JPG IMG_0109.JPG

Same here. Minibikes, go carts, motorcycles and ATV's. Loved them, still do but I can't put myself first. Too many people depend on me.
