The cool part is my kids are really into this project. They love helping me clean things up and work on it. I think when this is all done and working right, they’ll have a since of appreciation and pride in the boat.

Before you do anything else, pull the engine, remove the soft floor and inspect the stringers and transom. If they are rotted, it's no use dropping a new engine in it.

You won’t believe it. I was using normal dish soap but it wasn’t cutting it. I then switched up to Saiger code red and let the vinyl soak for about 5-10 min then scrubbed with a brillo pad. Then wipe it down and treated with leather cream.

Off topic (again), but does Carmelli carry most of Saigers products?

I had some mildew last year when I had my boat stored in my yard. I had the cover on it, and then built a carport system for it.... the snowload ripped the tarp when the spring rain came. I used a combo of peroxide and ammonia. I then used Fels gel, soft bristled brush, and rinsed with my not-so-Mytee tool. I then applied Aerospace 303, it looked new....

I’ll order a bottle of that 303 stuff and try it out. I see the marine version is a lot more than the car cream.

Use it on all the plastic and vinyl surfaces on your van, especially your dash in that California sun....

Well I did it. I ordered a new Marine Long block from Summit Racing. Should be here in three weeks. I’m not giving up.

I need to finish my boat. I have about 8 pwices of plywood to cut for seats treat it and get the 25 how mercury running again. A few other things like seats but it's getting closer.

Look what I came home too. Kind of makes up for the bad day I had. I had to walk off a urine job because the guy refused to pay my price. I’m getting smarterer.

Isn’t she a beauty. Now the real work starts.
