Lots of buildup on the grout lines, I am going to do the job Friday, but could use some advice on how I get this crap out without weakening the grout- aka using too much, or too strong an acid.

Bring grout saws, razors ( box and scrapers types) wood chisles, one of those vibrating Fein type tools with grout saw attachment and don't even worry about the acid's effect

And Ipod and knee pads wouldn't hurt either.

I was a little afraid that may be the answer. I have all that except the tool with grout saw attachment. I only planned on going as far as hydrochloric strength. With my knees, the pads are requisite! I'll hafta take pics later.

Amazing how difficult those deposits can be. Grout saw is a great tip.
