Hose Connections

I am Finally getting my new 2" hose Friday
(Thanks John Olson) I will like to heard some opinions of how to do the connections.
TM is 370 the vacuum port is 2.5" the Devastator ports are 2.5 as well the question is where should I reduce to 2"hose
1. at machine?
2. At filter?
3. Should I run I few feet of 2.5" before reducing two 2"?

run 4 to 6ft length of 2.5 from TM to Dev filter
reduce on other end of filter or a foot or two beyond it matters not

What is your main goal?

Where do you live (humidity)?

I'm setting up my 45 blower Butler to be 2.5" to Devastator, 2.5" for my first 50' from the Devastator. The rest will be 2".

I'm considering maybe hacking my 50' piece in 2, to make it easier to deal with.

But it's humid in Iowa so I'm trying to increase dry times as much as I can with just a but more effort dealing with hose.

If convenience is most important, just use your Devestator to reduce from 2.5" to 2".
