How much pressure can my Titan hold?

I'd like to switch out my water pump to a water pump up to 3500psi for some small pressure washing jobs on my customer's carports, wooden decks, etc. I don't want to get in big with pressure washing, just some small jobs. Right now, 1000psi isn't going to cut it

@doylebloss, and any other Hydramaster brain...Can my truck mount hold this much pressure? If not, how much can it hold? And if it can hold that much pressure, do I need to turn the heat off if I get a water pump to provide the higher pressure?

I agree with Bob. Rent it, no need to own something you use infrequently. You can rent a nice one and operate out of the back of your pickup.

Don't screw your system up making it do something it wasn't designed for.

Well, isn't there some truckmounts out there that can do 2500psi? I'm not gonna go buy another pressure washer just to clean someone's 10X10 back porch

I sold all my pressure washing equipment back in 07, and I'm not looking back at that. I have no desire to get back into it. But if there's something very small, I'd like to be able to attack it.

if you used to do PW'ing, then you know stained aluminum siding, gutters, sheet metal carports and camper "black streaks" don't clean up so well with just PSI and heat (like vinyl does)
so you still need chems, bucket and brush on a pole on a lot of stuff . (even with 4200 psi) ..ask me how I know

I'd speculate 1000 psi at 4-5 gpm with heat would do al'ite if you're willing to put in a little elbow grease with chems, bucket 'n brush first.
No, you won't be stripping any decks w/1000 psi
But you should be able to do what you're talking about

Soo let me get this straight, you still use pump up sprayers but want to change out your pump on your TM so you can pressure wash?!? Maybe try changing out your brain instead.....

It'd get a dedicated pressure washer like the old geezers above mentioned.. I'm a hard headed cheap ass SOB and I still see the benefit of not fcuking up the money maker doing something it wasn't intended to do..

It's called tough love Matty boy... If we keep going you shit for something, you'll change it eventually... Look at the whole trailer and box truck ordeal... You went full throttle on a big ass box truck..

P.S. get a RE while your at it.. Your shoulder and elbow will thank you... :winky:

I did a job yesterday, requiring me to remove moss from concrete. I was thinking about making this thread while I was removing moss with only 1000psi

I know chemicals help us. But it'd be nice to get an extra 1500psi every now and then. I'd just like to know if my truckmount can handle it. If it can't, I'll go buy a little pressure washer from the local pressure washing store.

And yes, the black streaks are needing a high ph chem and a light rinse. I'm glad I don't mess with that crap any more. There's just been some times where an extra high psi for 10minutes would've made my day a lot easier

Pre-spray the deck or concrete with tile and grout cleaner with some oxy boost, let it dwell according to instruction. Then clean. You will find you won't need as much pressure.
