Do you care about setting your psi 500 + blowing water by . I use mine at 300 seems to work well unless you have lots of grease.

I set mine at 600psi I also use a greenglide and 2.5 vac hose.

Before the GG or Vac hose I was at 500psi, probably should have had it at 400psi before though.

Are these number readings before the trigger is pulled?

Thanks,

700 Psi with a Greenhorn 10 flow. 700 before and after trigger is pulled; I think there is something wrong with my plumbing.

Why do you think that? Major drop in pressure when you hit the trigger? What are the problems you are seeing? Just curious.

With most truck mounts I have used the presure gauge drops when the trigger is key; recently I noticed it doesnt drop anymore although it used to. I havent experienced any problems because off it, but makes me wonder.

depends mostly on the wand you're using and recovery ability of your machine.
in particular, the angle of jets and air flow your machine creates.

If blowing straight down like an AW-29/PMF 802 style wands, 350 psi is all that's needed.
More than that and you're injecting water/dirt to/thru the backing.

get a piece of thin cheap carpet, and clean it at various psi.
When you find that the backing is getting damp in the slightest, it's time to back off the PSI.

That will tell you what the optimum psi is with "your" wand and machine

those stair wands will blow out the o-rings at 600psi, not to mention give your hand the worst cramps.

you can use a bolt on after market brracket and feather touch valve and fix it.

Larry, is right on the money.

Erik;

On our TM's, we set the pressure @ 550 PSI spraying with four angled 02 jets on a 14" wand.

For higher flow, we go with 4 angled 03 jets at about 500 PSI spraying.

Companies wanting quick dry times go for the first option.

Companies wanting high productivity go for the higher flow numbers.

What is the proper reading for pressure. I always thought it was while triggered. Looks like most read it when not triggered.

300 if it's not soiled, 350 if it is soiled, 400 sometimes on a whim, or for nasty commercial.

I bumped up my pressure to 600 and didn't notice any real difference except in dry times. I think I am going to kick it down to 350 again and increase my flow.

(Ten flow greenhorn 12" wand bayco 2.5 in vac hose and a partridge in a pear tree.)
