Mike doesn't send the emails to me to proof :headscratch: or tell me they are being sent out, so I can ask to see in advance.

Another note - you'd be surprised how many potential clients will sign up for an email newsletter for specials who will purchase at a later date. Although this is a bit technical(sorry @hogjowl ) If you're using Wordpress, you use a simple Contact Form 7 form with first and last name fields along with email. Have it send the signups to your email. When you receive one, you can create a folder or label(in gmail) and make the sign up emails go to that folder. Every month you can extract the email addresses and names from the folder or label and add them to your email list. There are several ways to do this and it is easier to do in Outlook as the functionality is already built in. For gmail there are addons free and paid to be able to do this.

There are other contact form plugins store the submissions and that allow you export the entries into a spreadsheet so it could be uploaded to some type of email program or CRM. In 2018 we're launching a video series on how to do this and many other things. I'll make a note to come back to this thread and post a link to the video.

If I sent out 1500 emails I'd be afraid of getting to many calls to handle.

No. There was a bug in the FBug system. And I also didn' know how to use it.
A Mass email was sent before I was able to filter it. Some customers received multiple emails bordering on harassment. I think some customers were sent an email for each invoice we had for them..:eekk: :eekk::dejection::dejection: :hopeless: :hopeless::hopeless: I spent my 2 week vacation "cleaning up the mess"

I wouldn't exactly call it a bug, it was more of an option that wasn't explained maybe as well as it could have been..
We took it out immediately after so no one else would by accident do what happened to John. UGH... the best made plans! Lol

amazon does not send me constant emails.
Neither does Microsoft, Apple nor my dentist or mechanic.
Jiffy Lube and Pizza Hut do. That's why I never buy anything from them unless it's massively discounted. They trained me well.

There's a fine line between keeping your company's name alive in the client's mind and constant bombardment of emails etc., which equates one's name with being a nuisance.

Are you sure it's just their name that makes the nuisance? It seems to me people around here change their name yet...the nuisance persists.:shifty:

Present company excluded of course.

Offer a 16% discount so you can track the Email Campaign specifically.
It is impossible to track what works and what doesn't unless you do it.
Just asking why you called or contacted us is not a good indication as to what worked specifically.
Was it your truck, their neighbor, Google,Yelp News-Print, Email, Post Card Refferal ,dog problem, can't stand-it anymore, who knows!
