How are the three brass, cylindrical, press-on seal cases removed from a Cat 3CP 1120 manifold?

There is a tool to make removal easier, but what is the hard way?

Much obliged.

mine is a 5cp and i really can't remember how i rebuilt it yes, I really clean up pet shit for a living Dad..

LOL..

but it wasn't hard .
think I pulled the manifold, took it to the bench and just popped out the old seals and put the new ones in.
Don't recall if i had to tap them in or not ...if i did, I probably used a socket of appropriate size

Be sure you observe the orientation of the old seals ...so you don't put the new ones in upside down

X2 real easy to do if you take your time and see how they are put together.. If you are having trouble getting them out stick a screw driver half way in and pry them out, but be careful to just pry on the piece you are going to remove.

Got the top seals out but the seal cases need to be pulled to get the seals or packing under them out.
