While back i started running outta the brass tube type HX's...sooner or later they will all leak....so i bought a White Magic HX, not knowing too much about it! My friend Tom at Modernistic recommended them!

If anyone is thinking about HX's....i highly recommend them....great heat and they seem bulletproof!

YIKES...I jus found out that they are NOT stainless....they call them heavy duty steel...i think perhaps i would disavow that recommendation...i've had mine about a year now with no problems...yet!

Bob;

We started with all-copper heat exchangers over ten years ago. Then we went to stainless with copper fins.

Corrosion and low pressure capability dictated a change to 100% stainless steel.

Stainless components allow testing to 3000 PSI and operation at 1500 PSI. Coil in water designs allow better transfer at high GPM rates.

In testing, we have operated at 300° F.

For long term durability, 100% SS is the way to go.
