House with a traditional foundation. Pipe breaks and under the house in crawl space is wet but no actual damages occur to the property will insurance pay to dry it out?? And if they deny claim and mold growth occurs on floor joists/subfloor is responsible or liable?
Thanks

They should but no guarantees. They don't cover dirt and the loss affected the dirt.

I think had the pipe broke inside the living space and affected the crawl by running through the home you would have more justification to dry down the structure and the crawl space.

I believe you'll find there are no hard and fast rules. It's going to depend on each insurance company and the interpretation of individual adjusters.

How can they be responsible for mold from an uncovered loss? If it's wet and they homeowners does nothing they are they responsible party for causing it. Their lack of action did it, not the insurance company.
