image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg I got a call today from a builder. The client is having issues with water pooling around the outer deck/ pool area. I was wondering what the best course of action is? I'm assuming it's water from rain, and possibly from the pool itself. I need to correct this for this client.
    Here's some photos.....

    Many questions remain

Is it a salt water pool?
Looks like the deck is not pitched correct, in which this will be reoccurring

Looks to be a non slip texture

I would start with an acid cleaner, phosphoric acid

    Then alk

    Then abrasive cleaner

By the way, by looking at grout lines- it's already been acid washed pretty hard- cover your ass prexsisting conditions

are you sure it's porcelain? Porcelain is usually non porous. Looks like that is staining through the tile.

I was told that by the builder. I am going to have a look tomorrow. My plan is to do a few test patches. This client is the type that wants the job done, and no excuses. The builder is paying, so I'm assuming he feels responsible.( lack of proper slope). The client only spends 3-4 weeks a year in this home, and is having new custom made teak patio furniture delivered this week. I can't fook this one up....

You have to let them know that they have the problem and you will try to correct it. Don't let it become your problem.

So..... I went and had a look today. And, I am NOT doing the job. The man of the house was home(rare), and in the space of 5 min., he mentioned someone was going to get sued 3-4 times. The tile plus install was 45k...... And it's fooked..... Shame, could have been a great new client......
