Is there a single non franchise restaurant in Redding?

Regardless of Norman 74 bitter attitude, the Bay Area actually has some of the best restaurants in the nation and you don't have to pay a mint to eat well. You just have to know where to go. San Leandro though is not exactly the crown's jewel. I would think (not from personal experience as I hardly ever go to San Leandro) that there should be some good Vietnamese restaurants there as they have a large Hmong community.

Maybe Joe Appleby can recommend some.
