Re: Go to Summer Fest

Well, the banquet has been $35 for the past 10 years, and would have been again this year but the caterer raised the price couple months ago. Seems prices on everything are going up.

Besides, you get more than just dinner. Every attendee gets a roll of Sticky-Tabs ($15-$20), a dinner, and a chance at some great prizes (and a lot of fun). In my opinion, still well worth the extra $5.

We (SummerFest Committee) try very hard to put on an event that anyone and everyone can afford to attend.

There is NO CHARGE to attend the other events at SummerFest, unlike most other industry functions.
*Except of course the CCT class, which is being offered for an unbeatable price of only $50. Where else can you get the IICRC Carpet Cleaning certification course for anywhere near this price?

P.S. Mike, dinner at "Michaels on Main" at MikeyFest was $40. ;)

Re: Go to Summer Fest

LOL- Mikey says $40 a rip off for a good meal (I am making the assumption it is good) being served in a place that has the hard costs of perhaps a multi million dollar building (with furnishings) dozens of staff, the hard costs of the food, the cost to prepare it (water, gas, etc.), plus taking up table space for an hour and a half or more.

How do you reconcile this comment with charging someone $100 or more to clean there 200 sq ft living room, using a 70k machine with virtually no other costs except labor and virtually zero overhead?

:p :p :p

Hello Ken

Dusty and I have a surprise for you at Summer Fest. I have built the tower you designed. I spiffed it up a bit. But it's is basically yours. Did you know that Tom Monahan claims to be the designer? I would post pix but the new features of the tower would be copied before the weeks end. This is Ken's Tower. And naturally ours is Rug Badger Red.

Yippee.

SummerFEST is gonna be a blast! last time I went was Portland a couple of years back and got to meet so many fantastic people.

This time around its gonna be big on rugs as Nathan Koets is doing an open house and then a talk on how to clean are care for rugs safely and profitably without spending tens of thousands of $$.

I hope some of you can make it out.

OHH YEAH,,can't wait to unveil our new EZ tower. I'm positive this new setup is going to help a lot of folks!
