You trust Bob Foster and Ron Werner, so do I. How about I take the ferry over and let them give an honest opinion on my Recoil? I was going to go over anyway, so this could be a chance to put fact of fiction to the questions you raise.

Sounds fair to me....

Willy, don’t take it personally a few of the guys here are compensating for something with No 6 blowers.

I think a competition between a recoil and electric TMs promoted here measuring vacuum and pressure would be entertaining.

How many inches of water will the recoil vac pull? I might buy a porty soon. I am leaning towards recoil but don’t know what else is out there. I saw an ad in cleanfax for an eclipse machine that pulls up to 340” of water.

We all know how fickle figures are from Manufacturers. Especially when no one is checking.

Lift or CFM, but they can be married. My old Ninja had quad vacs, 2 sets in series to a parallel. Odin does some interesting stuff. More lift for short runs, more CFM for long. I don't leave mine in the truck, but I do feel comfortable doing 100 foot plus runs with the proper placement of the booster. That's the key to getting longer runs and efficient extraction. I've got the parts to build a one off brute, I have a friend that does metal fab, and have it all drawn out, but the time is another story. If I get a slowdown after Christmas , I'll get it done. Last year I didn't get much of my annual rest and recharge.

have Ed ship you his latest version. the one that sucks like a porn queen.

if the machine is bad ass so be it. i know that most guys have "pimped" they're TM and you've done the same for your recoil if my memory serves.

Bears repeating Willie. On two of our units we use boosters whilst leaving the portable in the van if relatively close to the job.
On commericals we do long hose runs. As you said it is the placement of the booster but I would add to that also the placement of an in-line pump-out.

Our experience with Cross-American and Mytee are the complete reverse of Mikey's. The Mytee had numerous teething problems and caused a lot of initial frustration.

Sounds like a great idea Willy.

I trust you to point out all modifications that you have done to the machine.

I am not bagging on portables here, just the quality of construction on the ReCoil.

WHen you comin to the Rock Willie?

Next week in the middle for the cheap fares. :D

I'll list the mods now 3 -two stage vacs- no 3 stage, but I corded the machine for 3 cords (two 25's and a 50) if I want to put in the 5.7 high performance vacs in the future.
Auto dump from CA
Auto fill with chem draw from Larry Cobb (haven't hooked it up yet, I'll try before I go)

Now there's an extensive list.....

I need a couple of slow weeks to put a build on the Willydebeast.

Willy, just curious, what vac motors did your recoil come with when it was new, and if you have since changed them out what model of 2 stages are you running?
