OK, I need your input (HELP).
If this post is out of hand, please feel free to remove it.
I'm an Engineer at a company considering marketing a new carpet cleaning system (truck mount / steam).
I need to have 300+ foot runs.
Something similar to a TCS CHIEF II ??? or better ( 20 to 60 hp ranges).
This is new ground for me.
Is there anywhere I can buy schematics or drawings to get a good sound design start.
We are not going to "clone" anybody, but I do want to see what the best parts are currently.
By best, I do not mean "most expensive", but the best functional parts to use.

You guys do this for a living, so you should have the best knowledge.

We do want to have one the best working units at the very best cost to the end user.
We believe we can manufacture a unit that is superior and less expensive.
This will benefit everybody.
Again, I'm new to this task at hand and any feedback would be great.

Have a GREAT day,
Bassplayer

you and every other TM manufacture has the same goal, I'd s'pect

here's a start for you

Kohlor for air cooled motors
Briggs would be my second choice.
Kawaskis are junk, as well the Chinese and Korean junk that's showing up.
Cat or General for the pumps
Roots or Sutorbuilt blowers

Now, the trick is to make all that stuff work together reliably with out smoking belts or shredding couplers.
many try, few succeed....

I doubt anyone can help you here on trying to buy a new design schematics, since there are 4-5 people here who make TM. You also have no profile and no info so many will not respond to your post.

If this is a venture your company is doing then you should learn about all the TM currently available. Do the research and then make it your own.

Good luck and I hope you don't get offended easily.

Has anyone actually ever made significant money building truckmounts? I think Les and Larry do well but TMs are only part of the business. I can think of many who went broke but none that were successful to the point they built wealth. I think Shawn York did well in the end but what a ride to get there.
