The Oreck U2000RB2L-1 is the upgraded take on the popular U2000R-1 hotel vac. It has a 12 inch cleaning width as well as being a lightweight 9.1 pounds. Many commercial users have switched to Oreck top-fill upright vacuum cleaners because they are light, fast and strong. The specific unit is a LEED certified unit that includes sensor technology to shut down the brushroll and protect the motor from unexpected jams.

What does LEED stand for? LEED is a certification process, and stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. LEED compliant vacuums must meet or exceed Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) requirements for efficiency. This Oreck vac is CRI listed. To become LEED certified, a vacuum must have HEPA or high filtration systems to maintain indoor air quality at recommended levels and have sound out put levels less than 70 decibels (dBA). You can learn more about these testing specifications, and what it means for you, at the CRI vacuum testing program.

Another great feature on this model is the short pigtail cord that attaches to the 40 foot power cord. This allows anyone to easily replace the damaged extension cord without the use of tools or access to an electrician. To make your life easier when vacuuming, the handle drops down flat to reach underneath and around copy machines, drink dispensers, clothes racks, file cabinets, chairs, desks, cabinets and baseboards. Moves easily from carpet to hard surfaces with no adjustment, as the soft plastic wheels will not harm any surface. The powerful, high-speed brushes run from 5,000 to 6,500 RPM, depending on the surface you're working on.
